What Is Play Therapy?
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses play to help children express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Children can explore their emotions through structured play activities facilitated by trained therapists in a safe and supportive environment.
Evidence Based Approach
Air Traffic Control: The Brain's Executive Function System
Using an evidence-based approach, we support nervous system management, encourage neural integration, and assist in re-patterning children's nervous systems.
Like air traffic control, the brain’s executive function system manages a child’s cognitive, social, and emotional skills. Just as an air traffic controller directs planes to prevent collisions, a child uses these skills to pay attention, plan ahead, resolve conflicts, and follow rules. Strong executive function skills are essential for managing information flow, prioritising tasks, and coping with stress.
Fortunately, these skills can be developed through practice and guidance within a safe environment free of toxic stress.
Our committed team of qualified mental health specialists is guided by their knowledge of the nervous system and interpersonal neurobiology. They aim to create a space where children’s brains are calm and free to develop skills and positive neuro connections.
We take a holistic approach to therapy, embracing neurodiversity and affirming the inherent value of each child.

How Brains Are Built:
Introducing the Brain Story
Contrary to popular belief, the structure of our brains during early childhood is shaped by more than just our genes. Our experiences in the first years of life also influence the physical architecture of the developing brain.
Because the brain is built in stages, with more complex structures developing on top of simpler ones, it’s essential to get the early years right. Just as a house requires a sturdy foundation to support its walls and roof, a brain needs a solid base to support all future development.
Building better brains is possible by providing children with positive, nurturing interactions at a young age. These positive experiences are the building blocks that create robust brain architecture, leading to enhanced learning, behaviour, and overall physical, mental, and social well-being throughout life.
